Barton Creek Omni Getaway

June 9, 2021

This blog is c/o of Barton Creek Omni. Our room and round of golf at Barton Creek Omni was provided for by the resort. Majority of our food and the spa was paid for by us.*

Well y’all, I don’t even wanna spend too much time talking about this trip… because I just want to SHOW YOU. This was by far the greatest resort we’ve been to, and that’s saying a lot coming from a couple that goes to the Dallas Four Seasons at least once a year. Aesthetically… there’s no comparison. It’s bright, natural light, airy, and a modern traditional design. A far cry from the typical burgundy and dark browns of a country club. Basically, if my home was a huge resort, it’d look like Omni Barton Creek.

There are multiple restaurants on site, but we dined at Nopales, Velvet Joe’s, Texas Spice, and Bob’s Steakhouse. Napoles is fresh poolside food, and we were MOST impressed by their Vegan Queso that Paul was able to get. We dipped our sweet potato fries in it… oh my gosh. SO GOOD.

Each night, we went to Jim Bob’s Lobby Lounge before dinner for a drink. Don’t let the name fool you… this is a very upscale, mood lighting, leathery, man’s man lounge. It’s very beautiful and a stark contrast the rest of the very bright white lobby. Our favorite sips here were the Casamigos Margarita and Ring of Roses.

Paul golfed the Crenshaw Course and I went to the spa. Both were heavenly experiences hehe. Paul may or may not have cried on hole 14. And I may or may not have asked to not have to leave after my facial. Hands down, my best facial I have ever had. I went hoping to get the Fountain of Youth one, but because of my gluten allergy, I wasn’t able. She ended up just doing a custom tailored facial for hydration and wrinkle care. I glowed for days to follow from it.

Just 3.5 hours from home, it made for the perfect getaway and is certainly our new favorite spot. Everybody on staff was so kind and we had so much fun.
