Much like my wardrobe, when it comes to investments in my home I remain pretty neutral. I want to know what I spend a chunk of money on is going to last beyond the season or a just a couple of years of use. So all of our furniture in the house is exactly that- neutral and quality pieces. From there, I get to decorate for the seasons around my easily transformable furniture.
For spring this year I was aching to add pops of color into our home. *and in general* We have had a lot of white and gold accumulate over the years, but my style is changing a tad. I want to add in fun colors throughout my home to brighten it up a bit. I asked Paul if I could start adding in some blush and (a little to my surprise) he said to go for it! Today I am sharing with you how I added color, mostly blush, for under $200 to my home! 99.9% of it being from Target… surprise surprise. And then under my exact items purchased, I added a bunch of other finds for you to do your own shopping/ future potential purchases for me to make. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find EVERYTHING I bought to link for you, but I did my best! My final piece (outside the $200) for my living room is a rug, and I have a couple I am trying to make a final decision on. Can’t wait to show you what I end up getting!
Tip to Take: The quickest way to transform your space is adding small items within your palette you’re aiming for. Think kitchen towels, vases, throw pillows, trinkets, a table runner, etc. For example, I got this awesome shelf (on sale, of course) for our blank space in the dining room that I could add colorful additions to. I hung a coffee mug that tied in our rose gold and white theme from the whole house, a pink floral towel, a rose gold whisk, an apron I already had, and a colorful cookbook I already had sitting on my kitchen counter! Transforming on a budget means simply being creative, and finding sale items 😉 A few of the items shown were on sale in store, but aren’t online!
Items I got for my own space:
Also, the Blush Knox Weaving is hanging in our main space by the kitchen!
