Paul and I moved into our new place a few weeks ago, and are seriously in love with it. I thoroughly enjoy unpacking all my things (not so much the packing part) and reorganizing, tossing out unnecessary pieces, rearranging my favorite frames and prints, and figuring out the best place to put the dishes and silverware. (It’s a little OCD) Unpacking is both strategy and a game to me, and I like that part of it a lot.
Moving into this place, we knew we needed a rug for our wood floors in the space, a new sofa (because of Presley), and a console for our tv with storage space. I also had some photos I wanted framed from recent shoots with Paul and my besties. Today I am sharing ALL of the pieces we ended up getting for the place, and a quick little tour of our new space!
First, I am super stoked about our three new gorgeous photos from Framebridge. They provide an incredible service, beautifully framed and high quality prints of your favorite photos. (They also make for GREAT Christmas gifts!!) I ordered three completely different frames to fit three different spaces: living room, bedroom, and bath room. And, I am pleased with how all of them turned out! The mirrored frame in our bedroom is by far my favorite! It matches our side tables perfectly, and it’s so beautiful!
Our rug is from Rugs USA. (Find here on sale for $247- originally $1100!! ) They are always having amazing deals, and their prices are seriously unbeatable. This rug I chose was a little out of my usual style, but I just couldn’t pass it up! A light gray with cowhide detailing, it was both classy and fun for our new space. Most importantly, it really brightened up the room with our newly painted coffee table. I am all about those neutrals, so this really sets a foundation for the rest of our living room and ties the whole great room together (the kitchen and living room). Our console we got is gorgeous with a mirrored front. Tip: Mirrored items brighten and open up a smaller room to appear bigger than it actually is. Online says it’s silver, but it’s more of a gold color (FYI!). We got it BECAUSE it looks gold.
I am all about fun wall arrangements, bright + light color schemes, and mixing the old with new. A lot of my decorative frames around the house are vintage from my mom and grandma, and the suitcases are thrift store finds. The oil lamp on the console in our bedroom was the lamp my mom had by her bed all my childhood. I am so in love with it, and was beyond excited when she asked me if I wanted it. Our sofa and chair set, and console table are from Nebraska Furniture Mart. Find them here and here.
