Hey hey, pretty ladies! Today’s look is about as real and everyday as it gets. Jeans and a black tee of some sort is my go-to if I am not in yoga pants, and this makeup combo from Bare Minerals is what you will see me in 90% of the time, if I even have on anything at all. (It’s simply their BareSkin Serum, Original Powder, Bronzer, Mascara and their Moxie lipgloss.) All you need to go from 0 to out the door in two minutes is bronzer, a swig of mascara, and lipgloss. I think my favorite thing about working at a Pure Barre studio part time and from home the other half -besides the work out itself and the girls I get to be around- is that it leaves me a whole lot of room for makeup-less days. And, to be frank, I think my skin is thankful for that.
But my makeup is a post for another day! Today’s post is all about these incredible rain boots from Roma Boots. I don’t care who you are, what you believe, or how old you are, Sadie Robertson is the real deal and she is one incredible lady. And, I am obsessed with these floral boots. Sadie couldn’t have been a better choice to have her own line with Roma as they have similar goals in life: Making a difference and striving for change.
Roma Boots is a company with a mission far greater than itself, and I have the pleasure of working for them as a contract writer as of last month. The founder, Samuel, is a man with quite a story and I am honored to help tell it. So, when the opportunity came up to work with Roma on The Cake, I was beyond thrilled! I love everything they are about and all that they are doing. For every pair of rain boots bought through Roma, a pair is sent to a child in need. As Samuel grew up in extreme poverty in Romania before moving to the states, he knows first hand about what it’s like and what is truly needed for people in such conditions. In addition to rain boots for children, Roma Boots provides funding for education. They know that rain boots are merely a bandaid and will not ultimately help get children out of poverty. Roma believes education empowers and gives hope. The more children know, the more they believe they can conquer and change their circumstances, doing whatever it is they dream of. Simply put, education provides opportunity to even dream beyond current circumstances at all.
Roma is just five years old and has provided boots to over 25 countries, 5 continents, and thousands of children. “Ten percent of all sales proceeds go to the Roma For All Foundation to help these impoverished children break out of their cycle of poverty and despair.”
So, with all this said, why not grab yourself a pair of Roma Rain Boots? Whether a pair of Sadie’s or Roma’s classic collections, they have so much to pick from to fill your closets (and children’s across the world), and I am a massive fan.
THE BIGGEST ANNOUNCEMENT FOR YOU ALL TODAY IS THIS:
Sadie herself will be in Nordstrom at North Park Mall on November 20th in the evening for a meet and greet, and you’re invited! Let’s all celebrate her new line with Roma Boots as well as Roma Boots making its way onto Nordstrom’s shelves!
(Side note: The jeans I have on in this shoot are the high waisted denim from Madewell, and they are the petite lady’s DREAM. The manager at the North Park location was extremely helpful in assisting me to find the perfect pair of denim, and she told me to try these as they work the best for the smaller girl. AND she was so right. They are absolutely worth the investment, y’all. Shoes + Denim. That is what you splurge on.)
Have a happy, happy Thursday ladies!
xoxo, Han
