If you follow me on Snapchat (@hanmarie_mor) or on Instagram, you know that I am a Pure Barre fanatic. A short bit back, I shared all about Pure Barre Platform, the new workout available in Pure Barre Studios. It’s essentially traditional barre meets cardio… I mean, basically, it’s just freaking awesome. And, once again, I thought I was in shape until I went to my first class. But now, a couple months later, I am truly in the best shape (even better than traditional barre classes did for me, which is NUTS!) that I have ever been in. I love it so much, I love what it’s done for my body and my health, and I just can’t contain my excitement about it!
So, naturally, I grabbed Hannah of Cottonwood Road Photography and took her into a class to snap some shots of what exactly goes down in a Platform class. (Bonus, Hanny is now a Pure Barre addict, too!) Once you start, there’s just no way out of addiction!
I am telling you: can’t stop, won’t stop.
A Platform class follows the same format as a traditional Pure Barre class in the sense that you start with a warm up, arms, stretch, thighs, stretch, seat, and then abs. You just happen to now have a platform in front of you that you get to play with! Being a former dancer, I am REALLY into Platform. My first class we were doing tilt kicks off the barre and I felt right at home. Again, though, if you have zero history with dance I promise that Pure Barre still is for you. Being a dancer will just take you back to positions and moves your body knows.
Take a peek into the studio with Amanda, Molly, Brittany, Krystal, Stacey, and myself! (And yes, this is definitely when I had crazy eye issues, but I am so grateful for a workout that I can STILL get toned from when I am in my glasses and have eye infections.) Also important to note: I promise my eye infections were not contagious!
All of the items you see us in are brand new and available in studio, too. These pants I have on were seriously the most flattering workout tights I have ever worn, which was extremely surprising to me! I was scared to try them on, but ended up LOVING THEM.
Can’t wait to see you at the barre!!
