This is a sponsored post by Peacock Paper & Designs about their brand new planner for the working lady!
I don’t keep it a secret at all that I am a very scheduled, orderly, and routine person. I find joy in a clean house with properly placed items. My daddy used to tell us growing up, “Everything has a place, and I like to put it there.” That statement just makes my heart sing as an adult, haha. And though life will not always pan out as I planned (or the keys always be put on the key rack by the door), my ideal situations include a clean home every night and receiving plenty of warning for meetings/appointments/obligations so that I can write it in my planner. I like to feel mentally prepared for engagements- no matter how big or small.
Whatever you want to call it, if I have to be somewhere at some point in my week then I want a good grasp of time and expectations prior to being there. I am most certainly that person who, even if it wasn’t in my planner but I went somewhere or did something spontaneously, I will put it in my calendar after the fact just to see I did it/to be able to cross it off.
I know.. it sounds a little OCD. But, it’s the way I work and I am okay with it. Although, I have gotten a lot better at being flexible and going with spontaneity mostly from being married to Paul Morrison.
Being a scheduled person, surprise surprise, I legit live life by my planner. It truly is like my bread and butter for the day aside from prayer and Jesus. I like a good planner that I get to fill in every single hour of the day, that prepares me for the month ahead, week ahead, and day ahead. A planner that gives me space to write my thoughts, have detailed tasks for my day, a spot to plan dinner, and even put my grocery list as I run across things that run out.
When I was introduced to the BRAND NEW Essential Planner by Peacock Paper & Gifts, launching officially November 27th, it spoke to every organizational love language of mine and more. Kelsey, the girl behind the design, is a working woman from 9-5 in the stock market who couldn’t find a planner that satisfied all her type-A needs (amen, sister). So naturally, like any entrepreneurial minded lady, she decided to create her own to fill a need she knew she had and was certain other ladies must be facing. (Finding time to start a business… somewhere in between sleeping and working and, oh yeah, eating on the rare occasion.) 😉
These planners seriously are amazing, they even have a place for you to track your water and vitamin intake. COME ON Y’ALL. She thought of everything. I prefer the detailed daily planner for an hour by hour plan- it’s what works best for me working from home (and also has a monthly overview)- but if you prefer a weekly planner with spots to simply keep track of where to be and at what day & time, the weekly planner is for you!
